Reeve's Football Game

This is Reeve's first year of football and he's really enjoying it so far. The only bad thing is that the games are pretty far from us. He plays for the homeschool football team, so they don't have a home field that is close to everyone involved.

Here they are getting ready for the game. Reeve's in the white shirt in the middle.

The team, just before the game:

You can see Reeve's face, just above #7.

Jack and Oscar have fun at the games, too.

Jack said that his head was too hot from the sun shining on it, so he put his sweatshirt over his head.

Reeve is number 55.

He's the one who is crouched down on the field (don't ask me which position because I get them all mixed up and Reeve just gets mad at me when I say the wrong one, after he's told me a zillion times which ones he plays!).

Speaking of Reeve getting mad at me, I guess it's not ok for a mom to walk up on the sideline and call out her son's name for a picture. He looked quickly, rolled his eyes and turned away. Luckily, I snapped a picture before he turned away.

After the game was over, the kids were all starting to collect their stuff at the sidelines. I had moved my car to a different area and had the kids all packed up and belted in. I knew Reeve would look for me in the stands or where I had parked at first, so I called, "REEVE!" He looked and I waved my arms up in the air, so he could see that I had moved. He shook his head from side to side and went about collecting his things. Then, the team sat down and chatted for a few minutes. Well, I guess it's not cool to do that, either. "Everyone heard my name and looked at you waving your arms!" I think I need to read the "Rulebook for Mothers of Teenaged Boys" before I ruin his entire life.

Here he is saying, "I can't believe you did that!"

Here he is after the game...he still loves me. :)

1. I can't believe how grownup Reeve is. He looks WONDERFUL in his football uniform.

2. I just roared out loud when I saw the picture of Jack with the sweatshirt on his head! (Jeffrey wearing a Viking stocking hat all summer long at age 5 so that his hair wouldn't get any whiter!)

3. How adorable!! Those pictures of Jack & Oscar (Oscar sitting on Jack and then cuddling). Precious
