Paul: He's going to be moving into a different position at work, which won't really change anything. He will get a slightly bigger salary and that's good. There's a chance that he may get a job in Champaign, IL. He's been interviewing and had a 3rd interview last Tuesday. There is an internal candidate with the company, so he thinks his chances are slim. I don't know if I'm ready to move just yet (too much to do to get the house ready to sell), but I'd love to move to a new area....maybe my dream country home? Champaign is a smaller city.
Ri: He's been busy with schoolwork and baseball. He plays left field and can really slug the ball. He's one of the stronger batters on the team. Paul is going to work with him on pitching so that he's ready when they put him in. He's not a regular pitcher for the team, but did pitch during a recent tournament and wasn't ready. He hasn't been practicing pitching, so he was rusty at first, but started striking people out once he got his arm warmed up. Ri plays on a really good team, so he's pretty excited that the season has started.
Re: He's been busy with schoolwork and baseball as well. He's the main pitcher for his team and his team got 2 new pitchers this year, so they'll do better. They didn't have any pitchers besides Re last year and once Re was done for a game, the game went downhill. Not anymore! They won their last game and were very excited....they SMOKED the other team and his team looks great! Oh, he had a great birthday. He had a friend sleep over and we went to the Rec Plex so they could go swimming. His friend gave him the movie King Kong, so he was excited about that.
B: He is playing baseball for the first time in 2 years. He's pretty excited about it. He is on a friend's team, which helps with getting him there. The boy's brother is on Re's team, so we'll be carpooling this season, which will be nice with 3 playing baseball! B's team won their first game, so is excited about that. He's still practicing gymnastics as well and will continue with that twice per week. He gets some good workouts, that's for sure!
J: He's busy being a toddler. :) He's talking more and more. Here are some recent additions to his vocabulary...some may be a repeat from before...I can't remember them all!
Foovie (smoothie)
Shit (chip or fish....he says the same thing for both and the kids offer him chips all day long just to hear him say it!!!)
Ta Too (Thank you)
NnnnnnOOOOOO! (Moon and he says it with enthusiasm!)
Weeve (Re)
B (Br)
Bayball (baseball...balls are his favorite toy)
buh ball (football)
KEY cah coh (motorcycle...he's obsessed with them!)
cah (car...he loves these, too)
I know there are more, but I'm forgetting them off the top of my head. He has been putting 2 words together like, "Ta Too ball!" He says that when he gives me the ball.
He's been having some tantrums...I forgot how much fun those were! He always gets quiet when Daddy comes into the room, though....well, almost always! He loves his Daddy!
That's all that's been happening here. Nothing exciting. I'm just trying to keep the boys on track with their schoolwork so that we can take a month off in the summer. We're getting them passes to Six Flags for all of their birthdays, so we'll be going there a few times. They have a nice waterpark.
I don't have any good pictures to add, so I'll just add one of J drinking his morning smoothie. Here's the recipe I use:
2 oranges
3 c. packed, raw spinach
1 c. frozen blueberries
1 c. frozen raspberries
1 T. ground flax seeds
I put them in the blender in this order so that the oranges make enough juice to blend the rest.
Here's J drinking his...B helped him.

I check your blog each day for news and really enjoyed reading your update this morning. It sounds like you are all very busy and in full swing with the baseball season. I only wish we lived closer so Grandpa could make it to the boys' games. He loved playing baseball and still loves watching it. Hope you all had a Happy Easter. Ours was quiet with just the two of us. Have a good week. Love you all, Pat
PS Great pictures of J. He has the most beautiful eyes!
Thanks for updating your blog. I look forward to it SO much. I think you should tell Grandma and Grandpa P. to come to your house sometime to see the boys playing baseball (and B's gymnastics). They would enjoy it so much -- and then your dad can put your kitchen floor in for you. :>) Actually, you, Pat and I could probably get it done! Thanks for the smoothie recipe. I'm going to try that (I hope I don't get as much on my face as J did) Hugs to you all......
By the way, I was looking at the pictures of "J" on this and they look a lot like YOU did when you were little. I guess he's a real mix of you and P. Adorable!
